Playful girl with her dog enjoying in snow.

Does this sound familiar? You log into your practice Facebook page only to realize that yesterday was World Cat Day or K9 Veterans Day—and you missed it!

If this does sound familiar, you’re not alone. So many pet holidays have popped up in the past few years, it’s almost impossible to keep track of them all. To remedy that, we’ve put together this huge list of all the pet-themed holidays we could find for 2019. And because the word “holiday” denotes fun, we tossed in some of our other favorite holidays.

Somehow, we just know your practice will find a way to celebrate National Donut Day or National Pizza Day. Call it intuition. 🙂

Is the list of 2017 holidays available yet?

    • Anna Mazereeuw says:

      Hello!
Our list is not year-specific. Most of these dates apply no matter what year it is, and for the dates that are year-specific, we note the day, not the date. For example, the list would say that the holiday occurs on “the third Saturday of May,” rather than listing the specific day in May. I hope that answers your question, and that you continue to find our list helpful!

  • Awesome list. I make cat-centric holiday lists and I’d like to clear up confusion around black cat holidays. October is Black Cat Awareness Month. Black Cat Day is Oct. 29 is in the U.K. Black Cat Day U.S. doesn’t exist yet but I’m including it as part of the awareness month. Black Cat Day, Nov. 17 is in Italy. Message me if you have questions.

I’ve been following your link to the 2017 calendar email and every time I submit my email, I never get a link. I’ve checked the spam folder too.

    • Anna Mazereeuw says:

      Hi Liz,
I’m sorry to hear that. I’m going to try sending it to you again now, using the email you provided for this comment. Let me know if you receive it.
      Thanks!
      Anna

  • Jane says:

is there a way to print this list out in PDF without getting covered by the logo?

    • Anna Mazereeuw says:

      Hi Jane,
When I print the list out as a PDF, the LifeLearn logo appears across the top of the first page, but doesn’t appear anywhere else on the document. Unfortunately, I’m not sure why it’s covering the list for you. Maybe try printing again, and perhaps the issue will resolve itself.
      Thanks!
      Anna
