LifeLearn wins awards for three multimedia education programs

May 18, 2012

Received three Communicator Awards of Distinction for multimedia educational programs

GUELPH, ONTARIO – LifeLearn, Inc. announced that it has received three Communicator Awards of Distinction for multimedia educational programs that the company developed for Bayer Animal Health (Bayer), Nestle Purina, and Novartis Animal Health (Novartis) during 2011. These programs used multimedia games, activities, and simulations to teach scientific principles to healthcare staff.

For example, Bayer’s Parasite Scene Investigation online accredited continuing education program mimicked the popular show “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” to teach veterinary technicians to correctly identify, diagnose, and treat common parasites found in pets. Nestle Purina’s Veterinary Diets Challenge computerized game was used at industry trade shows to engage attendees while teaching them about proper pet nutrition. And the Novartis It’s a Pet’s Life game is a team-based activity that educates veterinarians and their staff members on parasite prevention and treatment.

“Every educational program, meeting, and event we produce is geared toward enhancing the education of our clients’ target audiences to achieve corporate goals, and we’re thrilled to receive this recognition for our creative, results-oriented work,” said Leah Stephenson, chief creative officer at LifeLearn. “Bringing learning to life through fun activities and multimedia stimulation results in better retention and application of knowledge. The value we provide to clients is simply marrying complex scientific principles with creative learning techniques for longer-lasting results.”

The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 550+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts.  Current IAVA membership includes representatives from acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms such as Condè Nast, Coach, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, HBO, Keller Crescent, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Tribal DDB, Victoria’s Secret, Wired, Yahoo!, and many others.

GUELPH, ONTARIO – LifeLearn, Inc. has launched version 4 of its WebDVM® web site design and hosting service. Compared with prior versions, WebDVM 4 contains enhanced social media and search engine optimization (SEO) tools that allow veterinarians to better communicate with existing clients and raise visibility with prospective clients.

“The Internet has changed the way veterinary practices interact with their clients,” said James Carroll, Chief Operating Officer of LifeLearn. “Today, pet owners expect to be able to gain immediate access to pet health information and to interact with their veterinarian online, on their own terms. • Easily publish blog articles with keywords that enhance search engine optimization.
  • Better control how search engines read their site with enhanced SEO tools, allowing prospective clients to more easily find them online.
  • Easily update their site with a more powerful content management system that’s still easy to use.
  • Offer e-commerce capabilities and take advantage of effective email marketing services.

As with previous versions, WebDVM 4 integrates with LifeLearn’s ClientEd Online service that delivers more than 1,200 trusted, reliable client education articles right to a practice’s web site, updated monthly. It also offers professional web site designs; online request forms for boarding, appointments, prescription and food refills; and trusted support from LifeLearn’s team of web site professionals that includes weekly webinars and one-on-one training.

LifeLearn, Inc. launches Spanish module for ClientEd Online

April 5, 2011

Client education handouts in Spanish give veterinarians another tool to raise compliance.

GUELPH, ONTARIO – To assist veterinarians with the growing number of Spanish speaking pet owners, LifeLearn, Inc. has launched a Spanish language module for its ClientEd Online product line. This module will initially add 149 Spanish client education articles to ClientEd Online’s catalog of 1,200 handouts. New Spanish articles will be added monthly.

ClientEd Online is a web-based library of articles designed to help veterinary practices educate their clients, improving compliance and patient care. The service allows veterinary practices to search articles by keyword, customize handouts with clinic and client/patient information, and print or email articles to clients. The entire ClientEd Online library may also be integrated with the veterinary practice’s web site, creating a trusted online resource for clients.

Stewart Wright, product manager at LifeLearn, said, “As the number of Spanish-speaking pet owners grows, veterinary practices serving these clients will find these articles extremely helpful, covering topics such as neutering, training basics and aggression. Our veterinary customers are constantly striving to improve patient care and client service. Now, they can more effectively educate their Spanish-speaking clients, enabling better compliance, better business, and better patient care.”

Like the English articles, Spanish ClientEd Online handouts have been professionally written and updated by the most trusted veterinary educators in the industry. Each article is written in an engaging question-and-answer format, highlighting key points in a reader-friendly style. Articles also contain color images to enhance and reinforce understanding.

The Spanish module works with ClientEd Online’s Small Animal Series and is available as of April 1. For more information, visit www.LifeLearn-ClientEd.com.
