Course Content
This session will focus on laboratory testing of adrenal and thyroid diseases of dogs and cats, with lesser emphasis on endocrine pancreatic and parathyroid diseases.

The presenters will review sample collection procedures and protocols for small animal thyroid and adrenal diseases, highlighting the advantages and limitations of the various tests that are available.

The recent literature with respect to the common diseases will be reviewed, and controversies with respect to testing will be highlighted.

After these didactic sessions, the presenters will use a case-based format to stimulate interactive discussion on evidence-based appropriate test selection and interpretive considerations. Participants are asked to come prepared with questions and issues regarding laboratory testing for these diseases so we can all learn from each other.
