CE Accreditation:
Certificate awarded from the Ontario Veterinary College for 7 hours of CE credit.


Cancellation Policy:
90% refunds less deposit will be issued for cancellations up to 60 days prior. No refunds will be issued after that date except under special circumstances, when the maximum refund is 50%. Lifelearn reserves the right to cancel the course, in which case a full course refund will only be paid.

This one day intensive course will introduce nursing techniques that will maximize success when dealing with emergent arrivals and their ongoing care. Topics will include assessing and triage, stabilizing, and critical care techniques and will include detailed discussions of Fluid Therapy, Oxygen Supplementation, Pain Management, Monitoring Techniques, and Blood Gas Interpretation and CPCR. We will finish off the discussion using case studies of various emergencies and specific methods used in their care. This will be an interactive day with encouraged audience participation. Feel free to bring interesting cases with you for discussion.

This course will be of benefit to any Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician who works in an Emergency or Critical Care environment.

CE credits earned by technicians can be used towards not only annual CE requirements, but also as part of the requirements for those interested in pursuing the Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care designation.
