Feline PU/PD – An Endocrine Perspective
Shauna Blois BSc (Hons) DVM DVSc DACVIM
Polyuria and poydipsia can represent many differential diagnoses in the cat. However, the most common endocrine causes of these clinical signs in middle-aged to older cats include hyperthyroidism and diabetes mellitus. This session will focus on current literature updates regarding feline hyperthyroidism and diabetes mellitus, and how this information affects clinical practice. The presentation will also briefly discuss the pathophysiology and other differential diagnoses of PU/PD in the cat.
Management of chronic kidney disease in cats–step-by-step
Alice Defarges DVM MSc DAVCIM

Cats differ from dogs in their clinical presentation and response to management of shock and as such the treatment of shock in cats can be challenging. During this session, the pathophysiology, clinical signs, and treatment recommendations for cats in shock will be discussed. Cases will be presented with a focus on hypovolemic, anaphylactic, traumatic, and septic shock including recommendations for fluid therapy and pharmacologic interventions that are unique to cats.
The Cat with Dyspnea
