Advanced Emergency & Critical Care Nursing

You will receive a confirmation either by phone, fax or email. Lifelearn reserves the right to cancel a course, in which case a full course refund only will be paid. All other costs will be paid by the registrant. For registrations that you wish to cancel, a 90% refund less deposit will be issued up to 30 days prior to the course. No refunds will be issued after that date except under special circumstances, when the maximum refund is 50%.

This one day intensive course will introduce nursing techniques that will maximize success when dealing with emergent arrivals and their ongoing care. Topics will include assessing and triage, stabilizing, and critical care techniques and will include detailed discussions of Fluid Therapy, Oxygen Supplementation, Pain Management, Monitoring Techniques, and Blood Gas Interpretation and CPCR. We will finish off the discussion using case studies of various emergencies and specific methods used in their care. This will be an interactive day with encouraged audience participation. Feel free to bring interesting cases with you for discussion.
This course will be of benefit to any Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician who works in an Emergency or Critical Care environment.
CE credits earned by technicians can be used towards not only annual CE requirements, but also as part of the requirements for those interested in pursuing the Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care designation.
